CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Welcome to the Forest Area Chamber of Commerce.  Located in Scott County in the heart of central Mississippi, Forest is one of the region’s most progressive small towns.  The Chamber of Commerce takes an active role in the continuing effort of ensuring that the Forest/Scott County area remains a growing community with economic stability, thriving business-industry, good schools and affordable housing.  For over a century, our Chamber has worked with business and community leaders to improve the quality of life for everyone, and our goal is to continue to move our community forward in the 21^st Century. Forest is known throughout the state for its small town charm, beauty, hospitality and caring people.  Whether you are visiting, new to the area, or an “old timer,” we welcome you!

The Chamber is under the leadership of  president, Tina Adcox, and vice-president, Lee McCarty, the board of directors and executive director Allyce Lott.  Adcox said she plans a number of new strategies to expand the chamber in encouraging volunteerism in a number of activities.  “The Forest Chamber is a local organization promoting businesses and bringing new things to do in the Forest area,” Adcox said.  “If you are a business owner, we want you as a member.
